Help Increase SNAP Participation

Our SNAP (food stamp) outreach team is dedicated to increasing participation in the SNAP program. There are many things you can do to help.

Action Items

1. Stay informed: News, reports and resources
2. Consult our SNAP (food stamp) Outreach Guide
3. Provide SNAP applications and assistance filling them out
4. Work with schools to send SNAP information home with students
5. Help seniors find out if they are eligible for SNAP and other assistance
6. Distribute free outreach materials at community sites
7. Include articles about the positive aspects of SNAP in newsletters and bulletins
8. Respond to common misconceptions about SNAP
