The New York Times reports that one in 50 Americans now have no other income besides SNAP/Food Stamps. According to state-verified and government-audited declarations, they describe themselves as unemployed and do not receive welfare, unemployment insurance, pensions, child support or disability pay. Across the country, one in eight adults, and one in four children, receive SNAP/Food Stamp benefits. Read more…
