In her role as Community Engagement Coordinator, Chris helps coordinate and support key initiatives and programs that engage with the community, helps support the organization as a whole through meeting and technology support, and supports the operations, development, and program teams with ongoing and specific projects and events. 

Chris holds a B.S in Women, Gender & Sexualities Studies with a minor in Community Health Education and a B.S in Liberal Studies with a minor in Indigenous Nations Studies, both from Portland State University. Before coming to PHFO, Chris served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) in Portland. She is dedicated to surrounding herself in work that supports grassroots social change, women’s empowerment and advocacy, and policy changes that reduce racial, social and gendered disparities.

Chris lives in the suburbs of Portland with her two boys and her beloved dog Lucy.
