Jackleen joined Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon as Development Director in May, 2015. She has worked in nonprofits most of her career, as an executive director and development officer. She began her working life as a journalist and continues to freelance with a focus on food and social justice. She was awarded a food writing residency in 2015.
Jackleen organized two food conferences in Portland—the Tribal Food Summit (2013) and the Food + Agriculture Media Project (2012). She earned a BA in environmental science and journalism from Western Washington University and an MA from Reed College.
